Many of Colorado's most sensitive and spectacular landscapes and properties are held in private ownership. Private lands conservation is a pioneering effort that taps into the growing interest of the private sector to take part in land protection efforts. Palmer Land Trust works with landowners, businesses, and communities to conserve land. The conservation easement is the primary tool used to safeguard properties. Approximately eight-five percent of Palmer Land Trust's work centers on the protection of private properties.
